National Public Lands Day 2022: Privet Removal on the Coytee Branch

On September 24, 2022, WATeR volunteers joined TVA's National Public Lands Day by removing invasive privet along the Coytee Loop branch of the East Lakeshore Trail. Using special TVA-provided uprooting tools, the crew worked all Saturday morning to clear brush from this section of the 31-mile ELT — built entirely by WATeR volunteers on TVA conservation land. WATeR's Adopt-A-Trail program keeps over fifty volunteers maintaining the trail year-round.
