WATeR and TVA Celebrate National Trails Day 2024

On Saturday, June 29, 2024, WATeR partnered with TVA to celebrate National Trails Day at the historic Greenback Depot. Guests learned about the East Lakeshore Trail system, trail building, and maintenance, and heard from special speaker Richard Harris, author of Great Hikes and Backpack Trips near Tellico Plains, TN. After refreshments, the group took a guided two-mile hike along the Coytee and Sinking Creek Branches, learning to identify trees TVA had recently planted along the way.
