National Public Lands Day - Scavenger Hunt

To celebrate National Public Lands Day, WATeR is hosting an Outdoor Scavenger Hunt Adventure on the East Lakeshore Baker Hollow Trail.  Our event is a Nature Based Educational activity that is a low stress, family focused morning outing where families work together through Exploration and Discovery to determine and find answers to scavenger hunt type clues.

Children Participants will win free prizes based on thresholds of the number of clues solved, questions answered, and items named correctly.  Every child participant will win a prize.  And we will be providing free handouts to every family.

This hands-on outdoor adventure gives elementary students and their families the opportunity to enjoy nature together while learning useful skills like identifying plants and trees and learning other interesting features of the outdoors.  It’s a learning opportunity centered on student engagement and critical thinking.  Plus, the children will be using a plant & tree…
