The red waterways in the map above show where silver carp already live in Tennessee. The circular dot in East Tennessee shows the site of a recent siting of a silver carp. The problem is, of course, obvious. Tellico Lake is not far upstream from this siting. And, of course, the problem is that the carp can cause millions of dollars of damage.

WATeR has passed a resolution supporting efforts by the POA to stop the upstream migration of this invasive species.
